As fae get older, they tend to sleep more often to rejuvenate. And Jevin's aware of this simple fact of life, even when Wels tries to act like it's not.

It's so common, almost routine for Jevin to come and get Wels to make him take a well deserved nap <3

Jevin isn't sure what he counts as... Slime seems good enough for him. He isn't affected by the need to sleep like Wels is - he's not affected by it at all! So he makes sure he keeps alarms to remember to check in on Wels regularly. He'll make sure that Wels gets the rest he needs!

Jevin: Want me to beat him up for your Honor?

Wels: What? No.

Wels? Oh he's human. His boyfriend Jevin.... Eh, it's hard to say

Wels used to feel the need to tell people Jevin was, well... Slimey before they met him. He thought it would protect Jev, but Jevin never really cared.

No, he loves gaslighting people. He's mastered the art of announcing he's human with no sarcasm or joke in his voice. Anybody would believe him, if not for the fact they were looking at a skull (not even human shaped) suspended in blue slime and a hoodie.

Wels leaves him to his game now. Him and his ambiguously human boyfriend.

Not to the theme(?)

When people ask, "so, how'd that happen?" to Jevin and Wels. It could be taken two ways.

As in "how'd someone like you (gesturing to jev), end up with someone like him (gesturing towards Wels)?" And every time it's asked, Jevin goes silent while fidgeting with his hoodie. And without fail every time, Wels comes right up behind Jevin. Glaring absolute daggers into the person before asking, "Excuse me?" It always ends with Jev having to hold Wels by the face to keep from another body in the garage. because it's getting full

On the other hand, when it's "so what's your story?" Wels goes quiet and red while Jevin proudly retells their story.

They've occasionally mistaken one for the other, but it's never been a big issue. Those genuinely curious understand, and those malicious don't care.

Wels does punch the latter, though.

Some Wels and Jevin?? 🤲🏽

As a slime, Jevin doesn't really have a concept of pride. That would require a concept of sexuality, which as an asexually reproducing being, he's had to pick up (same as gender! Who needs that!)

But, he still paints himself the colours of various pride flags during the month. And his lovely Wels helps!

Jevin, whom is technically of alien descent, wanted to court Wels but had no idea on how to go about it. In his culture you'd usually give gifts crafted of rare or exotic metals. Most of the time these crafts would consist of various foliage like outland flowers. Something that peaks interest.

But Jevin was worried that Wels wouldn't, necessarily, accept or understand the gesture. So under observation, he found that Wels has an odd liking and possibly a collection of unique swords. Though not very many shields.

So Jevin sought to make a gorgeous sword made from the sun and a unique shield of the earth. And to Jevin's surprise, Wels adored them. Though he was confused on the sudden gifts.

After Jevin made, to what he thought, was an embarrassing explanation. Wels really actually felt honored that Jevin would pursue him, of all the other hermits to pick from. It was extremely endearing to him.

The issue is... Wels has no idea what to get Jevin back. He could just ask, but that would be admitting defeat! So instead he'll... Have no idea. That works.

While Jevin likes hugs, kisses and snuggling, he loves just spoiling Wels with gifts. Like with an ungodly amount of them, both necessary and unnecessary. He just really loves his boy and spoiling him is so much fun and it's worth seeing Wels reaction.

Wels is more words of admiration, the confirmation that work has been done right. He loves when he makes a passing comment and Jevin, someone who normally isn't easy to fluster, gets very flustered and goes quite with a red face. Can slimes get red faced? Anyways-

They build each other up and that's all that really matters. "Licking each other's wounds" as they say. Of course with a side of snuggles on a rainy afternoon.

Jevin, because he's nothing but extra, carries a bit of red dye on him. Just to make sure he can go red-faced.

It always makes Wels giggle, which means Jevin can escape the complimenting before he gets more embarrassed.
