The IKKYU team went to Hoshinomura village (Yame city, Fukuoka pref.), a beautiful place renown for its award-winning gyokuro and kabusecha green tea. It is nested between hills and mountains, with terrace fields, and rightly belongs to the network of “most beautiful villages of Japan”.

We stayed overnight in an old, traditional house that was renovated two years ago. A great experience that gave us the opportunity to meet with some of our IKKYU tea farmers from that area.
