self shippers are more important than any US marine but when i see people selfship with free characters i cannot help it i think about how they act in the show and it brings me to fucking tears because all i can think about is

Was it causal when you broke the one rule you ever had for yourself just to swim with me because of a promise we made under shooting stars when we were 12 years old ??

... Do we think Haru ever finds out that Rin and Ikuya fought a duel over him? Or that one of them (my money's on Rin) won the duel, and thus won "right to be rivals with Haru?"

Because I think it would be really funny for him to find out (possibly through Sousuke making fun of Rin about it, or Kisumi not knowing when to close his big mouth or something) and both Ikuya and Rin are immediately embarrassed, and worried that Haru will be mad at them for fighting over him or whatever.

And Haru -is- mad. He doesn't like being treated like a prize, or something to be fought over. But he doesn't yell at them like they expect him to.

He asks "what game was it?" and demands a rematch, very "I'll be shooting for my own hand"-style. He makes it very clear he plans to destroy both of them.

(This is unfortunately the coolest thing either Rin or Ikuya have heard anyone say in awhile. They're literally tripping over themselves to take him up on it. Their friends are silently disowning them.)

when i explained the free! lore to my boyfriend and he watched the final stroke in cinema with me, the first things he said about ikuya when he appeared onscreen were 1. "this ikuya guy is very pretty and handsome at the same time" and 2. "did he have a crush on haru as a kid? he sounds like he did" and i...

i didn't know what to say, but he's right
