I’ve learned that no matter what may look impossible at first, starting is always the most important step. There were cosplays I thought I could never accomplish but just making that first step and starting on even the smallest piece really teaches you to see the long term vision of what you want to get done, I’ve been trying to apply this practice to my everyday life for optimal productivity!

I started watching Food Wars around its first season and fell in love with the show. I loved how Ikumi had a strong attitude but was one of the best and I loved that she had a soft spot for Soma even though she was kind of mean to him, I also loved how she was one of the only characters that always had a different outfit or her own spin of the school uniform.

I can’t sew, so when it comes to cosplay that is mostly clothing I get to use some of my day job skills as a fashion stylist and pick out pieces that I can customize to fit the character so that’s what I did for Ikumi, finding a good print for the skirt took the longest.
