hi don’t mind me i’m just sobbing over remembering that luis stated in episode ONE that azune carries a child’s bracelet with him still, and now knowing he had a sister, who he loved, who he followed out of his home, who he traveled with until he was left behind on a street corner like a forgotten, unmissed thing.
do you think the bracelet is the last thing of his sister he has? do you think he was holding on to it for her when she was taken off with the others while he was left behind, not even knowing azune wasn’t with them until it was too late? or maybe she pressed into his hands desperately as they were separated, pushing one last piece of home onto him while she took off, hoping he’d remember her and swearing she’d find him when she could. or maybe he didn’t even realize that he had it until after thjazi found him, abandoned on a street corner, nothing but the rags he wore and a sword to his name. or worse, do you think she didn’t survive, and he did, and that bracelet was all he could grab before he was dragged along with the others until they decided he was no longer useful enough to keep around?
