Hornet - June 2019 I walked down to the lake while I was at my sister’s cabin. It is 65 steps down to the lake. The land immediately around the lake is very wet with tall reeds and lake wildflowers. While I was walking, a big hornet buzzed past me. I kept an eye on it to make sure I wasn’t stung and saw that it landed on a wildflower right next to the path. I slowly moved in closer and took several images. Why is it that so many of the really, bright, beautiful things in nature are dangerous? MWM
