“y/n!!” you heard as wonhee ran across the hallway to you. “you wont believe who asked me out!!!” she said panting, taking a breath between every word. “who asked you out?” you questioned as you started walking outside of school and she followed.

“iroha!! im so happy because i had a really fat crush on her and shes just really amazing and-” she had stopped talking when she noticed you started walking faster then ran after you.

“hey! whyd you walk away i wasnt finished!” she said jokingly. “but anyways as i was saying shes really amazing and good a dancing i wish i was as good as her.” she said with a dreamy expression. yuck. she was really inlove with iroha.

you werent inlove with anyone, well thats what you told yourself. your eyes always soften when wonhee speaks and you always stare at her. but now that has changed. iroha asked her out before you, so that made your feelings sift slightly. you hadn’t noticed that she was trying to get your attention before she snapped. “hello, earth to y/n!” she said giggling alot. “you have to help me find a good outfit for my date!” wonhee said bumping into you while walking. she grabbed your wrist and went the direction of the mall.

“hey i cant go i have to study.” that was a lie you don’t need to study there aren’t any tests. you just wanted to leave quickly before she started ranting about her future girlfriend more.

“why? you used to be so eager to come here. why did you change..?” she questioned letting go of your wrist. “i don’t- i just don’t want you to be with iroha.” the words slipped out your mouth before you could think and you quickly closed your eyes and looked away.

wonhee was shocked and she looked away l“what really?? i thought you were happy for me.” she said looking at the ground and backed away a bit. then you quickly turned your head facing her and kissed her. her eyes widened as she quickly pulled away slightly embarrassed. “that was my first..” wonhee said grinning a lot. “mine too.. did you enjoy it?” You looked up at her holding her hand. “yeah but we should practice more on that.” you both giggled then she got on her tippy toes and kissed your cheek.

“ill tell iroha that I'm not interested and we can become official.” wonhee says walking to her house with her head on your shoulder.

You weren't feeling well lately.

You've been in ILLIT with the girls by your side for two years now, always support each other through everything that happens. Unfortunately, something recently happened and things got hard.

Ever since debut, you've all suffered from hate for multiple (stupid) reasons, yet for some reason, it has gotten worse lately.

Any kind of mistake made in ILLIT was enough for a hoard of people to jump into criticising every single thing about you, from visuals, vocals and even being a fan of something seemed to be prohibited if you're part of the group.

You dug your own grave.

During a really important concert, you were feeling more than nervous than usual, even needing Yunah to calm you down before stepping on stage. You were supposed to sing your high note in 'Almond Chocolate' alongside Wonhee, just like every time you two did that.

It should've been natural at this point.

You have no idea why it happened, but your voice cracked. Badly. It was pretty noticeable, and you had to pretend nothing happened for another thirty minutes until it was finally over.

The second you were backstage, you broke.

This was definitely going to be all over the internet, people are going to use this as 'proof' you can't sing, that the group is bad. You're dragging the girls down because of your stupidity.

And you're not the only one who thinks so, because you swear you heard a staff member complain about that voice crack. Is that your manager? No, she's not here. You have no idea who said that. Your mind wasn't working right. You couldn't focus.

Everything around you was moving, yet your body was frozen in place. Your jacket suddenly feels too tight. You can't breathe.

You took a step back. Then another. And another. Until your back hit the wall, fingers gluing to it as if it's the only thing keeping you stable.

Honestly, it probably is.

Tears begun forming in your eyes, but they wouldn't fall. Why won't they fall? Why is it getting so hard to breathe? Your chest feels tight, your muscles are stiff and everything around you feels like too much.

“yn?”

You know someone called you. You heard it. But your mind can't understand their words right now. Your eyes are on the floor, refusing to look up and see who is talking to you.

Why are you such a fuck up that you can't even answer when called?

“yn.”

At this point you were hyperventilating, clutching to the sleeves of your jacket like a lifeline. Your heart was beating so loud, you can feel it in every inch of your body.

The person standing in front of you, appeared to have understood that you're not in any condition of answering. Out of nowhere, you felt a soft touch in your shoulder, gently guiding you to sit down. Having no strength left in your body, you did, knees close to your chest.

“Hey, can you listen to my voice? Focus on me.”

The voice was soft, slightly deep, with a hint of caring to it.

Wonhee.

“Here, breathe in with me.”

Her hand gently wrapped around yours, guiding it towards her chest so you could feel her breathing. In addition, you also felt her heartbeat, calm and steady, the complete opposite of how yours was at the moment.

“In...” You followed her as best as you could, inhaling with some difficulty. “And out.”

Wonhee made sure you did that a few times, until she saw that you were no longer hyperventilating anymore.

“Do you wanna go somewhere less crowded?”

“... Please.”

You're both surprised that your voice even managed to work after that, but Wonhee is happy you gave her an answer. Helping you get back on your feet, she guided you through the halls backstage, until she found the bathroom, letting you walk inside first and following right after.

“Let's wash your face, let your skin rest for a bit, alright?”

Wonhee didn't wait for an answer, reaching out to a box of tissues. With extra tenderness, she begun to wipe off your makeup while also getting rid of the few tears who dared falling from your eyes, humming a random song from her playlist.

After a short moment of comfortable silence, the sound of her voice cut through your thoughts.

“You did amazing today. Don't push yourself too hard, yn. People make mistakes sometimes, that's okay.”

Wonhee was finally done, looking directly in your eyes, the corners of her mouth curving into a tender smile. She could see you didn't fully believed her words, but you smiled back.

And for now? That's enough.

You muttered, shifting uncomfortably as her arms tightened around your waist from behind. She’d been like this since dance practice started. Ten minutes ago.

“But you’re so soft,” she said, resting her chin on your shoulder with a dreamy sigh. “Like one of those bakery plushies.”

“Your sweat is literally on my back right now.”

“Consider it a gift.”

You were about to scream for help when Yunah walked in. Minju immediately let go and casually started stretching like she hadn’t just been glued to you.

“Try it,” she whispered. “You’ll miss me when I’m gone.”

You blinked slowly, closed the fridge, and left. Minju followed.

After treating your wound she rapped it with a bandage and held your hands to lead you to the kitchen island setting you down on the seat.

She went back to cooking but was occasionally checking up on you or glancing at you. She’d also come to give you a taste of the food patting your head softly.

“YN pose!” She said as she also posed. The timer ended and the lights flashed meaning the photo had already been taken.

Everything you and minju did she never forgot to take a photo.

After you made the tiramisu cake iroha gave you the first bite to taste.

You nodded and hummed in satisfaction. “Hmmm delicious”.
