ye ask about ghiaccio & illuso? i got one for you! imagine ghiaccio having a problem with someone who is very pointedly a civillian. some annoying fuck of a neighbour who drives him mad, and ghiaccio just cannot win an argument against them because hes too easily agitated. bonus points if the annoying neighbour makes it a point to antagonize him whenever possible. when he complains to the team, their suggestions aren't really helpful: prosciutto & formaggio are like "what's the problem, just kill them"; risotto and melone are "ignore and forget", gelato is "yo, want me to set them on fire for you? >:3". any of those would not make him feel like a true victor... plus it would hurt his professional pride to dish out murder outside of a job. so ghiaccio gnashes his teeth in frustration - especially when illuso smugly remarks something about revenge being best when served cold and how ironic it is about ghiaccio. "Then you fucking do it, if you're so smart, asshole" - he yells and stomps away. (1/2)

Pasted the second ask in with this one so we have the full thing in one go! This is absolutely beautiful and I love it. If this were a full fic I would read it (bold statement from someone who doesn't read as much as they want to or could when younger lmaooo).

Both of them were in bed late at night after some really intense mission and Ghiaccio mumbled something about how they should get married because he’s kinda worried about going through something like that and dying before he gets the chance to marry him. After they mutually agree on getting married at some point soon, Illuso’s probably the one who did some really stupid and really cheesy proposal that 100% made both of them cry

Who stressed more over wedding planning:

Ghiaccio. He wants everything to be perfect and he wants his boy to be happy. Illuso has to assure him several times that everything’s gonna be okay and he doesn’t need Ghiaccio to go all out on everything to make him happy

Who decorated the house:

Ghiaccio. If Illuso’s clothes look like that then I don’t want to know what he thinks is acceptable for the inside of a house to look like.

Ghiaccio likes taking his boyfriend out to go ice skating, Illuso either can’t skate at all or pretends to be really bad at skating so Ghiaccio can hold him and teach him how to do it

Both both Illuso and Ghiaccio and Formaggio joined the gang around the same time and were all teenagers and ended up becoming close because of all of that

Illuso isn’t a native Italian speaker and Spanish is actually his first language. He wasn’t super fluent in Italian when he joined Passione and Ghiaccio was the one who taught him Italian stuff while Illuso taught this language nerd a little bit of Spanish. Ghiaccio was easy on him and keeps himself calm when Illuso makes mistakes because he totally understands that it isn’t his first language

Everyone in La Squadra uses code names so Julio is Ghiaccio’s real name and Valentino is Illuso’s. Illuso really likes whispering Ghiaccio’s real name real sweetly when they’re cuddling because it makes Ghiaccio absolutely weak

Ghiaccio flaps his hands a lot and wiggles when Illuso kisses him

Actually Ghiaccio sometimes doesn’t like being touched and also kinda doesn’t like the feeling of being hugged because it feels all tight and weird. Illuso has gotten into the habit of quietly asking before kissing or hugging him and Ghiaccio thinks it’s sweet

Uhhh Illuso wakes himself up early so he can cuddle Ghiaccio for a bit before getting ready and making breakfast for both of them.

First, about Ghiaris: I actually had an ask about that in the olden days, so I will link it here just in case, because at present I don't have anything new to add!

Second, I must link this excellent ask I received about a possible avenue for Illuso and Ghiaccio, because my original conception of them was really different, and that is what I'll discuss here:

I feel like to Illuso, his mirror world is something that he only shares with someone else if they are near and dear to him, or if the move is strategic and to his advantage. He knows that it is a safe and untouchable place, that is why he prefers to be there by himself, and why he is very picky about who gets to experience this hidden pocket dimension with him.

As the ask put it, he and Ghiaccio are people who are "hard to love and hard to handle", and from time to time their opinion on the others might coincide, especially on easy targets like Formaggio. Illuso mocks and Ghiaccio agrees; that sort of thing. And through these shared moments of accord, they slowly recognize each other as occasional allies, so it would only be a matter of time before, after some blowout that they didn't quite emerge victoriously from, Illuso off-handedly offered Ghiaccio to retire to the mirror world with him "to get away from these idiots" and what have you. And Ghiaccio would take him up on it because he's fed up and overstimulated and his first instinct is that he wants to be someplace else.

And he finally experiences the mirror world, and of all the eligible bachelors, he would be the one most suited to actually appreciate it for what Illuso does: the sense of safety and quiet. It's just a perfectly controlled environment where noises are cancelled out and nobody can get at you unless they are invited. Ghiaccio would be delighted with it, genuinely delighted, and this would appeal to Illuso as someone who both loves his mirror world and is sometimes embarrassed about it because he knows everyone else basically sees it as his tantrum hole and such. So they would bond over how much superior the mirror world is to the actual hideout and how they could stay in there for hours... and the rest is history, ehe.
