XD she’s the reason I’m so nervous to share ideas/headcanons, even though I don’t think people are usually that aggressive about that stuff?? She messaged me a good while ago & we got on the topic of fics. She asked if I ever wrote any/had ideas for some, so I told her an idea that had been floating in my head for a while & she basically said “No, that would never happen. That’s not Kaiba.” and I was like ??? this is total AU so anything could happen but ok

Well, I’m going to keep on strutting my stuff and giving the poor child absolutely no dignity because I’ve been doing it since fans like that were the typical rather than the exception

(Like wow, 2001-2006 era Yugioh fandom, I am so glad we mellowed out at least a LITTLE)

Hello! I've been seeing it a lot lately and then you made a post about it so I thought I'd ask: why do some artists dislike/not want their art tagged as 'me' or 'kin'? I'm just genuinely curious. Thank you!

I’m just gonna answer for me because lots of people have their reasons. These are just mine! 

The simplest way I can describe it is that it feels like appropriation. I spend a lot of time making my pieces, and making my pieces feel right to me. #kin and #me tags are generally a way for people to sort out and celebrate their identity with or as a character, but when they do that with my art I always feel a stab of...no, you don’t understand. That’s already me. 

I don’t have any problem with kin or anything, but it’s nearly hurtful when someone takes something that is very much a cross section of my own ideals and identity and feelings and slap it under a tag that is supposed to be them. There’s a difference between saying I feel that and saying I am that, and I always feel a little insulted when something that has my finger prints on it is used as someone else’s identity.

I’m not sure if other artists feel exactly this way, but this is just how I feel.

wait wait what's this about mokuba possibly being dead in the new movie??? I haven't seen anything about it

It's a rumor that was going around about a month or so ago because some people noticed in the promo picture for the movie, Kaiba isn't wearing his locket with Mokuba's picture and they wondered why. Then people started to jump to conclusions that it might mean Mokuba died. There's been no real solid confirmation of anything though, so I don't think it's anything to get worried over yet.

OKAY OKAY OKAY SO

Prince Seto and Prince Mokuba (i have a whooole story behind them >8D) are cursed, right? Seto is cursed into a monster (draconic-looking ofc) until he manages an act of true love, because his heart has already turned to stone because reasons, and the act of true love will break the curse and heal his heart.

PRINCE MOKUBA, on the other hand, is cursed into an eternal slumber, which he will wake up from when Seto's curse breaks. The magician who cursed them did this because Mokuba loves Seto too much, and anything between them won't fix his heart like it needs to be because Mokuba's a little bit too indulgent of his behavior.

There is a time limit, though -- neither prince ages during the curse, but he must break the curse before [i need to think of this part] or else he'll turn completely into a Full On Dragon and lose his humanity and Mokuba will never wake up.

Enter Kisara, who ran away from bad people and ended up at the remains of the castle. And now has to deal with a very pissy teenage dragon monster.

i already have some ideas as to scenes and stuff but FLAILS A LOT OVER THIS.....
