We dedicate this Caturday to Bright Eyes the cat.

Painter Moses Soyer (1899–1974) showed great affection for his only son, David, in many illustrated letters. This letter is written from the perspective of the family cat, Bright Eyes. “I certainly have grown bigger—haven’t you?” writes the handsome feline.

Giving the 36 Days of Type challenge a go this year! I wanted to create a series of letters that I imagined would exist in some sort of oddball zen garden. A quiet little break from client work and an excuse to play with soothing textures and shapes.

Painting in my piece with watercolour. I’ve never done this before but I think it might be kinda cool. This was sketched with pencil and paper then inked in PS. Then I printed it using my inkjet. I was both excited and scared about painting it in. Excited to work in a new medium. Scared because I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Oh well.
