My finished greyhound ink-wash illustration that was due yesterday.

Everyone at crit liked the dog but didn't like the background.  Eh...*shrug*

My first project for Illustration Principles was a crosshatching assignment.  Find a B&W picture of someone from the shoulders up, preferably with strong shadows, and redraw it with crosshatching (I Google searched for short women's hairstyles and the source I've supplied is where I got the image from, I converted it to B&W in Photoshop).

Now, I've always had problems with crosshatching.  It's never quite worked for me, and teachers never really adequately explained how to (mostly they focused on it being exact and neat and clean).  So imagine my surprise when this turned out surprisingly well, at least in my opinion!  Especially in pen when my favorite medium is pencil (or digital) because I like to erase and nitpick.

Fucked up the arm a little, but still!
