Good news: I finally bit the bullet and bought proper studio lights AND a teleprompter!! 🎉 Clouds have been my goddamn archnemesis for 5 years now and I'm so sick of color correcting my vids for 3 hours only to still end up with janky footage. And now that I have a teleprompter, I can make long form content without looking like an idiot on screen for an entire 1 hr video! My life is about to get so much easier you have no idea 😭 . Even though I've been on YouTube for years, I've always been soooo reluctant to buy equipment for myself. The hours I've wasted editing on shitty programs, waiting for footage to export because I didn't have big enough SD cards, refilming because the sun started to set, babysitting my broken laptop for literally 12 hours to make sure it properly exported, etc could literally have been used to make another 100+ videos. And even though I've always had the money, my imposter syndrome would stop me. "Oh, I'm not that big a YouTuber, I don't make weekly videos, maybe once I get to 100k... " Meanwhile, the reason I don't upload that often and haven't committed to upping my YouTube game is BECAUSE of my shitty equipment! Every time I get inspired to make a video I have to think, "is this worth the 20+ hours of bullshit to make?" It usually isn't. All of this is to say that if you're like me who keeps suffering in the present because it'll be "better to wait for x in the future" stfu and solve the problems NOW. Every time I've upgraded my equipment, I'm so shocked by the results and always end up wondering why the FUCK I waited so long to upgrade.
