#Repost @ron_amato (@get_repost) ・・・ Let's talk about this woman, @ilonaroycesmithkin, 97 years young. I photographed her yesterday for my Artists of Provincetown project. Over the past week I have visited with her a few times. Not only is she an absolute delight, listening to her tell the stories of her life is beyond inspirational. I kvetch all the time about middle age aches and pain. Ilona never once complained about anything. She was a very willing subject, and even put on her signature hand-made lashes for me! ... She and her family got out of Europe in the nick of time when she was a teenager. She made her way to Provincetown early on and found a room with a view of the bay. She knew she needed to live and make work there.
