@reseaudocteur with Stephen Allsop, PhD, (@drtr3isaza ) obtained his doctorate and completed postdoctoral training at the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT. He studies how social information is processed and integrated in the brain in hopes of elucidating the neural circuits responsible for fundamental social behaviors. His research is guided by the belief that deconstructing these mechanisms will provide a better understanding of how social groups function and offer more insight into the implications this has for the development and function of society at large. Dr. Allsop has been involved in efforts to increase scientists’ awareness of social biases and exposure to tools that help increase cultural diversity. ・・・ The Idusuyi sisters are all pursuing careers in healthcare. Ashley is a second year pharmacy student at the University of New England College of Pharmacy. She is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma and serves as the Historian for American College of Clinical Pharmacy and Dean's Ambassador for her class (@dearnaila). Ann (not pictured) is an RN and graduated from the University of Toledo. She is founder of the company Fitbella (@Fit_bellaa), which is a program geared toward helping people live a healthier lifestyle. Dr. Andrea is a PharmD and graduated from UCONN College of Pharmacy in 2015. She is currently working at your favorite grocery store as the only African American Pharmacist and the leading Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pharmacist in her district (@evrybodyluvsdre). Ann-Marie is a third year pharmacy student pursuing her degree at MCPHS Worcester College of Pharmacy Accelerated Program. She works as a peer tutor and will be completing a Longitudinal Advanced Practice Rotation at UMASS Memorial Hospital. She is also the President of the Gay Straight Alliance, and Vice President of the Black Student Union on her campus (@aysel_chiara). Amanda is in her first year at UCONN College of Pharmacy and was recently inducted as a member of the Alpha Zeta Omega pharmaceutical fraternity (@amanda_idusuyi). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ The journey has not been easy, but we have all been very blessed. @reseaudocteur with Dr. Nicholas Jones (@drnipandtuck) is a double-boarded certified plastic surgeon specializing in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a native of New Orleans as a well as a magna cum laude graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, where he received Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and his medical degree from Louisiana State University. While at XULA, he pledged as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He completed a general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a plastic surgery fellowship at Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Jones has advanced training in microsurgery from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After completing his training, he did a clerkship with Dr. Marcelo Araujo, a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Courtleigh Watson is an Equine Veterinarian! 🐴 She completed her undergraduate degree in Pre Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences from Clemson University. She then attended Tuskegee University where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. I Currently, she is completing a rotating internship at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital. She plans on practicing on horses as well as other species once she is finished. She hopes to relate to and inspire more people such as myself to give Large Animals a chance! Dr. Watson grew up riding horses, and horses inspired her to want to become a vet. Now she is paying it back by helping to save them.
