I’m Questioning Everything

So, my parents suspect I may have ADHD and/or ASD and they’ve starting pointing out the symptoms to me. It honestly makes me question everything ‘cause like,,, some people just,,, don’t sit there for hours making lists?? You don’t just have a random topic come into your head and just,,, make a list?? Like, lists are fucking amazing man, how could you NOT be constantly making them?? IT’S SO FUN LIKE WHAT

True Confession: I’m not great at resolutions because I have no will power. BUT I truly feel that I’m in the midst of a huge life change, so I really wanted to give this a New Year, New Me thing a try.

SO I started the ever so hip and trendy Bullet Journal to track my progress. Disclaimer: I’m not very creative but i do love lists and colors so I used what I know. Not quite Pinterest worthy… but it will do for now.

So as i reflect on the past month, I feel satisfied with my progress! There are many things I did not achieve:

- Waking up by 5am - 3 out of 31 days - Bed by 9pm - 4.5 out of 31 days - Writing a book - 6 out of 31 days (it’s actually 2 days but I cheated and gave myself ½ credit on days I journaled or blogged because I was still writing)

And I did surprisingly well at a few things too:

- Exercise - 23 out of 31 days - Drank 64 oz of water - 23.5 out of 31 days - Be Extra - 25 out of 31 days (I know I clearly could have done better here)

The best part is, I get to start all over again tomorrow!! I still have a few categories to work on (stop watching so much TV!!) And I added a few columns too (pray/meditate/be still). I’m looking forward to continuing to make a conscious effort! I don’t want to wake up one day disappointed because I realized I didn’t push myself to be better. Every day is a chance to start over New. I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me! (Philippians 4:13)

We were super overwhelmed with all the projects we’ve started and couldn’t finish. So I made a list! #ilovelists #portertinyhouse progress. Number 1 was create a storage space to make room to work. Next up windows. (Again)

(Wow, the year was so overwhelming for me I wanted to skip right over it and go into the best and worst of 2018).

I’ve heard from quite a few people I know well and people I don’t know at all about how bad 2017 was. I’m not going to lie. It wasn’t the best for me either. But there were some truly enjoyable moments mixed with the scary shit. I guess it’s always all about balance.
