It will be 4 weeks since my surgery on Tuesday. But, my Tammy has been battling cancer and even if I only made a brief appearance, I knew I had to stop by for her birthday celebration. Last year I was doing my usual "hiding" of how I looked, wearing heels and still not quite as tall as her. This year no hiding (well, except for the cane I was using to even make an appearance yesterday), no heels...accepting who I am, where I am in my life these days, what I look like and that I've lost the "who's taller" question 🥴.
