okay, but elias veturius deserves the world. he is literally the most selfless character to ever be written anywhere. always sacrifices himself for people he doesn’t even know, just cuz he cares about people and he’s a sweetheart. at the end of an ember in the ashes when laia says she’ll only free him if he helps her find her brother...are you freaking kidding me? he has helped her again and again for absolutely no reason, wanting nothing in return. the reason he was being executed in the first place was because he didn’t wanna kill her and he was protecting her from everyone else wanting to kill her, so what the hell was she doing? anyways, i love him with all my heart.
