The Ice Giants are NOT. SIDE CHARACTERS. (Tell me why they feel like they ARE!?!?) Both of them deserve JUST as much screen time and ATTENTION as characters like Earth got.
The Ice Giants are main characters. They have personalities that people like and can relate to. When those characters that people relate to are treated with disrespect (by the show), the people that relate to them also feel disrespected. What’s the message here? Your insecurities and issues, issues as common as getting bullied, are insignificant, reduced to a B plot, and you should just.. get over it??? THINK OF THE MESSAGE YOU’RE SENDING.
Y'know, the announcement of the mando and grogu movie actually has given me yet another reason(s) to be less worried about the Rey Jedi Order movie
Why?
Well, between future seasons of mando, it's spin off movie, ahsoka, the mandoverse finale movie, and any other stuff that gets tacked on to the mandoverse, filoni will probably be too busy to meddle in other stuff (which is also a good sign for Andor S2 and James Mangold's Jedi origins movie)
Why would he care it doesn't have his faves in it
That, and it may actually be too late for him to seriously meddle
The Rey movie was already written before filoni's promotion, the movie is supposed to go into production-maybe even filming-next month

There's also the fact that it's a sort of fresh start
Unlike mandoverse stuff, where it's increasingly necessary to see all of the other stuff, this Jedi Order movie is largely stand alone, at best you might need to see Rise of Skywalker, but maybe not actually
See, while we've been calling it a "Rey movie", it may not actually be about her mostly
From what I've seen, Rey will be occupying a supporting/secondary role, something similar to Obi-Wan, while the main characters of the movie from what I've seen will be two young Jedi apprentices

i just hope the fandom doesn't attack james or the new team
if you don't like it then just don't read it + just leave the team alone and move on with your life

I do hope, however, that this new era means breaking out of this 1D mold he has been stuck in. I hope the marketing, if any, ventures beyond the usual because I believe there's an untapped market for Zayn out there. Just, the marketing needs to be better 😢.
