one of the things i like most about alex and peter singing unworthy of your love as montlie is how they had charles start the song, because he is the obvious choice for the one that feels insecure of his place especially at the start of mincemeat when he is unconfident and still idealising monty. but then monty comes in on the second verse and admits that he too feels those insecurities and it's almost like that pre-jft scene where they both admit in their own ways that they feel scared. splitting the verses the way they did mirrors the arc montlie have during the show, with monty's insecurities being revealed later like how the whole ordeal with the script and the confrontation suddenly makes monty (who usually feels entitled to everyone and everything) feel like he isn't entitled to charles' trust or love anymore
