Heading into week 3 of summer full-time. The photo is from my first day of work. The owner of the company's desk is behind me. He doesn't come in often but when he does, I do feel slightly watched. Not that I'd have anything to hide, but it's just bad feng shui. Another person's desk is next to me facing me as well, but that's ok because I'm basically her assistant. I got this job through her. I've never really utilized connections or nepotism until now, but I'm grateful for this opportunity and experience. Especially because I’m making what I used to make in a month in a week. I will miss it when I switch to part-time. There are other benefits I could gain from this place but I know that my education comes first so I will work towards that.
Work ends at 5pm but I feel that I don't have enough time for anything. When I get home, I'm exhausted and just want to unwind a bit before being forced to sleep. I want to explore the city more after work so I don't feel the dip in my energy. Even then, I barely have time to make dinner, shower and air dry my hair. I'm considering having snacks for dinner instead. With my class schedule looking the way it does now, I will have to wake up much earlier. It will be brutal soon.
approaching the 25th hour, he’s purple for an amazing reason 💜
