drabble request (all of these you can use if you want, or not. Don’t feel pressured to do all of them I just have a lot of ideas) - Nadia route, y/n has self esteem issues and is very anxious about appearing at the Masquerade as Nadia’s partner. This comes to a head when they’re trying to practice the special dance, and get overwhelmed because this dance is for the count and the countess, they’re just some peasant from the city. They’re not special why are they doing this. Cue anxiety, slight freakout, etc. Nadia’s sisters (Nahara and Navra), who were teaching the dance, help reassure them and/or help them frame it in a better way so that when it’s time to practice with Nadia they’re feeling well enough to do it and enjoy it
i hope you like it, i sadly didn’t have much time to write it but hope you all enjoy !

- whille practicing for the dance, the chamberlain enters the ballroom, ushering Nadia away to quickly discuss something before she gets the chance to practice with you
- Nahara has just shown you the steps, she and Navra are standing on either of your sides
- Navra, noticing you watching Nadia and fidgeting with the hem of your shirt, shares a glance with Nahara
- Nahara nods, so Navra takes your hand, pulling you to the dance floor once more
- under the pretense of practicing again, this time with her instead of her sister, she tries her best to distract you
- sadly, it doesn’t quite work
- you keep sneaking glances at Nadia, who’s the most ethereal being you’ve ever seen…
- … even now, while scrunching up her nose or pinching it between her fingers because of how many decisions she still has to make for the masquerade
- “countess, lavender or violet curtains?" - "countess, lilies or roses?" - "countess, at this point you should probably do everything yourself"
- ok, no one actually says that last part to her out loud, but they might just as well
- it hits you again that she’s Nadia Satrinava, the countess of Vesuvia and princess of Prakra, and you’re... you. A random nobody.
- how is it possible that you’re dating her? Why does she even look at you?
- Navra notices how distracted you are and pulls you to the side, back to Nahara, to softly ask you what’s wrong
- hesitantly, you open up a little: "What if I mess up the dance? I’ll just embarrass Nadia in front of the whole city"
- the sisters look right through your half-truth and exchange a knowing look
- “Don’t worry, you won’t embarrass her! All three of us can help you practice until you feel confident enough", Navra smiles
- Nahara adds: "Besides... there’s no one Dia would rather dance with anyway, so unless you wanna be the one to burst her little bubble..."
- "Really?"
- "Yeah. Just... look at her." Nahara barely suppresses a grin and nods over to Nadia, who no longer looks agitated...
- ... but has the most genuine smile on her face, her eyes basically sparkle with little hearts
- and she’s looking directly at you, as if you were the most beautiful and precious thing she’d ever seen (because to her, you are)
- “She adores you", Navra chuckles
- you blush as Nadia walks over (the chamberlain has disappeared by now) and offers you her hand
- “May I?", she smiles, her eyes not leaving yours
- still blushing, you nod, taking her hand
- she guides you to the dance floor and starts the steps, confidently leading you through them
- it’s like no one and nothing else is there, just the two of you
- she leans in and gives you a soft kiss
- “I cannot wait to do this dance with you.”
- “Really?"
- Nadia smiles again as she twirls you before pulling you close. “Of course! You will do great, I know it.”
- maybe Navra and Nahara had a point
- you smile back and this time, you’re the one kissing her
- “I can’t wait, either."
- Nahara and Navra grin at each other before quietly leaving the ballroom to let the two of you dance together.
