I have a great many theory on severance's underlying mental illness themes and I don't even know where to start aside from saying basically everyone in the severed and basement testing floors experiences some sort of disassociation, depersonalization or derealization and I'm tired of pretending that, that isn't so in your face an blatant as a theme and don't even get me started on the cult themes surrounding Lumon and Kier...
