happy severance friday to all those who celebrate
your outie is griving the lost of his wife. your innie was born out of this grief. your innie is grieving the sudden loss of his confidant. your outie watched him die at the gas station. your outie has a sister who loves him more than anything. your innie is loyal to his team. your outie watched another man die. your innie prevented a death. your outie has a niece and a brother in law who wrote a mediocre motivational book. your innie became involved in a revolution because of this book. your outie is struggling with his dating life. your innie fell in love. your outie is self destructive. your innie was betrayed and assaulted. your outie once caught a butterfly. your innie knows your wife is alive.
The way s1 innie Mark was so mystified and eager to find out about his own life because he wanted a life so bad, “I just hope I have things I care about,” the look on his face when Devon told him everything, even the smile on his face when he started the first camcorder video, just to realize it was all someone else’s life. Not his. It was never his life. His actual lived conscious life still doesn’t really belong to him because a manager can turn it off - so fuck it, why should his potentially last moment EVER be with/for anyone but Helly? He has something he cares about. Like really.
put that salaryman in a situation. make him fight for his life. make him whimper a bit while you’re at it
Severance art that I've finished recently. It was inspired by that one part in s2 intro. I just really like the imagery of Marks carrying eachother :(
obsessed with the sick ass edits people make of mark for articles
I think the moment iMark realised that oMark didn’t truly care or understand him was when oMark talked about Helly.
“Ms. Cobel told me you like somewhere down there?”
Like someone, not love - because oMark only views it as some unserious workplace crush.
“Her Innie’s name’s Heleny?”
oMark doesn’t even bother to learn her name. To learn who she is, because to him, she’s a stranger, she means nothing. But to iMark that’s the love of his life.
And finally the nail in the coffin-
“Honestly, I love that you got to have that experience”
That experience? To talk about his love, his LIFE, as if it were something so trivial.
Like it’s one of many experiences, unimportant when compared to so many other experiences , but for iMark that was everything to him. His only experience, his only love. his only life.
I'm fucking dying over how hilarious the reviews from Ricken's book "The You You Are".
Somebody please leave a one-star review from Outie Mark while Innie Mark gives it a glowing five-star review.
