And fuck the notion that a man and a woman can't be close friends and be completely platonic. I just lost what I thought was a best friend simply because of my gender??? Because god forbid his girlfriend feel a little uncomfortable with him being alone with a member of the opposite sex whom he has known for years, something she never even expressed??? But it's apparently a perfectly reasonable assumption for him to make??? That hanging out with your best friend who happens to be a girl is a horrid thing to do your girlfriend??? And even if it is, which is debatable, I was never opposed to meeting her, befriending her, showing her that I'm not a threat. So it's absolutely baffling to me that instead of making that possible, he decides to push me away. I'm about done with boys and their shit.
