Oh my god!!
Having my water break unexpectedly is so overwhelming!!! Here's to having a baby soon!! IM HAVING A BABY!!!!!!
Power
Just because I'm on bed rest doesn't mean that I have to give up all my power in this pregnancy. Having a pregnancy that empowers me is important to me. Vital to my well-being over these next months and perhaps years of my new mommy life. On bed rest I have to work twice as hard to maintain my autonomy and good spirits because let me tell you, it's pretty fucking easy to fall back and start feeling sorry for myself. I read tons and tons of articles and books to enhance my knowledge of a healthy pregnancy and childbirth, breast feeding, birth partners, sleeping habits. Anything relevant I can get my hands on. That way I can divert my attention to positive empowering knowledge and away from negative feelings and thought patterns. I don't ignore how I'm feeling. In fact, I made this blog to specifically address my feelings. I read this article today by the great Gary Null that reinforces a lot of what I've learned since I've started reading on pregnancy and childbirth. Women's Health by Gary Null Who wrote this informative article of many case studies that have addressed issues and presented facts on the benefits of breast feeding, the ramifications of bottle feeding, long term and short term affects of fetal heart monitoring among many other topics. http://blog.garynull.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/WomensHealthPt1.2002.Townsend.pdf
