Woke up in my bag today. Nobody knows how much I really miss u grandma. I miss scratching ur hair til u fall asleep, hearing u cuss out tha white ppl in tha scary movies lol, nd just being able to talk to u. I wish heaven had visiting hours kuz I'd be dere every visit waiting to view that beautiful smile of urs 😢. Life

I come to this hospital every three weeks to accompany my mom through her 7 chemo cycles. I come here and it's always the same people, the same receptionists, and the same patients. At first I came here and was kind of quiet and kept to ourselves. Then more times we go the more we start to open to them because they were so kind and hopeful and strong. It never fails to look at these people and say "damn, what am I complaining about?" All these trials and tribulations that these people are going through and they continue to keep a smile on their face and preach their belief. All of them are here for a common purpose..TO LIVE! they come here because they want to live, they want to live for themselves, they want to live for their families, they want to be here. Because if they didn't they wouldn't go through all of this, sitting in a 7x5 area for hours at a time taking a medicine that drains them out of all of their energy, lose all of your, and sick to their stomach, breaks down your immune system where you mite actually be worse than you were before you even started the whole thing. They're going through all of this...because they want to survive. They want to live. So again I say "What am I complaining about?" When these patients come here every week or two and don't say a peep but keep a smile on their face.
