I mentioned that good.is featured this guy (Matt) who is traversing every mile of street in NYC's five boroughs! Why? Because in the city of 8 million, it's too easy to miss everything and everyone.
Not everyone, not most people even, should do this. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but for Matt it's a great thing...it's a "Good" thing (which is why Good.is covered his story.)
Another website which is really a front end for the best podcast i've ever listened to, 99percentinvisible.org really echoes the ideas and meanings behind Matt's journey across NYC. In cities like NYC it's so easy to miss the stories of people. It's hard to know the stories, the assuredly amazing stories of the people who make NYC what it is.
So Matt set off on foot (after walking across the US of A...) to learn what he could about the lives and stories that occupy the United State's most mystical city.
His site is worth your time!
