honestly the only thing that really grated my nerves as the writers fucking up (besides Anders yes lol) was Dorians personal quest. Like, fuck off yall his dad tried to fix the gay that was baaad. And Krem’s writing was kinda squicky. I know trans people and I don’t need my hand held, having an inquisitor who didn’t need her hand held about them existing would have been nice.

TBH Krem could have been dealt with better for sure but also I get that they were trying to -educate- people about gender identity and trans-ness and stuff (and I AM NOT AN AUTHORITY TO TALK ABOUT THIS AT ALL FOR SURE AND I KNOW THIS). Good intention, poor execution IMO (which isnt me trying to excuse it btw). So I agree it could have been done a lot better, but I also see what they were trying to do, and to their credit Krem isn’t the first trans character they've had (just the first in game) and if I remember correctly they didnt introduce Maevaris as awkwardly as they did Krem (? its beena while so I can’t really remember) so maybe it was just a “We know we got a lotta dude bros who’ll whine so we gotta educate and have Bull smack em a lil if they're dicks about it too.” I disagree with the mentality but I get it. I do think they should have included a “Me too!” or “I know people like that already” or something a little more inclusive as well, they dropped the ball there by acting like Krem is an anomaly to the inquisitor and that is not cool bud. Granted they fucked up again in MEA BUT ALSO  that is a whole different team working on it (not the DA team) so...they might not have gotten all the feedback about WHAT NOT TO DO that the DA team got. Short version is Bioware could benefit A LOT about actually hiring on members of the communities they’re trying to represent, or at least make a bigger effort  of consulting them.  But that goes for every gaming company and pretty much everything everywhere >_____>

Like it was the first post on my dash this morning when I woke up and it just grated me the wrong way LIKE DO YOU HEAR THE WORDS YOU ARE SAYING? And its nothing against viv because her character is very complex and had a good and valid experience so I GET where she is coming from and it makes sense for her to see it that way.  But like A REAL LIFE PERSON. IN THE REAL WORLD. WHO HAS LIKELY HAD CONTACT WITH SOCIAL ISSUES COMPARATIVE TO THIS claiming that some mages preferred their lives as fashion accessories and therefore Anders is bad for not letting them stay objectified, that is #concerning  Honestly though I’m to tried to really get into -T H E  D I S C O U R S E -
