❄️ What is (one of) their biggest regrets or biggest mistake they’ve made? Is there anything they can do to fix this or is it so far gone there’s no point anymore? Is this something they dwell on a lot? 

Your suit is torn, and you are exposed. 

But that’s not your main concern. Not after you see Ortega as he pulls the debris off of you, worry written all over his face.

It hurts more than it should.

You are exposed in more ways than the one.

Your walls are down, collapsed, all jagged edges and clouds of dust, similar to the rubble Psychopather left in his wake.

When Ortega rolls your mask up, you let him. Blood is dripping down your leg, but all you feel is the warmth of his lips against yours.

He is an idiot, but you are more so, letting him do this.

You make the leap across to the rock Ortega is standing on. Your shoes don’t have the right treads, won’t find purchase on ocean-smoothed rocks slick with seaweed and SoCal’s latest toxic algae bloom. But it doesn’t matter because his arm is around your waist, pulling you flush against his chest before you have the chance to fall.

You can’t believe you’re being this stupid.
