Kid At Heart (closed starter for immortalspringtrap)
“This is so cool...”
Echo was practically breathless as she touched the joystick for a Galaga arcade game. Sure, Freddy Fazbear’s was a place for kids, but the retro aesthetic of the place spoke to her still-young heart. Galaga, in particular, was one of her favorites. Pale, naturally unsteady fingers fished a game token from her pocket, popping it into the slot.
The kids squealing and having fun in the background turned to just that–background noise. The familiar 8-bit music engulfed her senses, and she shamelessly began the game, ignoring the stares from a few judgmental parents. It wasn’t their business why a 25-year-old was in the pizzeria anyway.
