“Hargrove?”

The voice yanks Billy back into the present and he stands up fast enough to make himself dizzy. He blinks twice, shifts his boots in the snow, and looks over to where the voice had floated from. Standing in his Members Only jacket with that fucking bat over his shoulder, Steve looks at him like he’s seen a ghost. Billy clenches his fists and notices how Steve’s eyes trail to the blood on his mouth, the blossoming color on his cheek.

“You’re bleeding,” Steve points out, like Billy doesn’t know that.

“Really fucking observant, Harrington,” Billy curls his lip up and flicks his tongue out, over the split, and Steve’s eyes follow it like they always do. It’s a visceral thrill up his spine but anger eats it up. Steve is off limits and, as much as Billy wants to lick into his mouth and feel those lean muscles against his own, he isn’t stupid.

Hargrove hit all the alpha buttons. Fast car, loud music, brash posturing, territorial urges, dominance fights. No one at Hawkins needed to scent him to confirm, which was good, because he didn't let anyone close enough. None of the omegas that simpered and fluffed their hair, none of the betas that fell in line behind him - no one.

No one except Steve. When Hargrove crowded up behind him on the basketball court, Steve caught a whiff of him. It was like the first time Nancy let him get close enough to put his face in her neck. Hargrove smelled sweet, and Steve wanted more. Hawkins' new alpha? Actually an omega. An omega who liked it when Steve got aggressive with him. It made Steve's teeth itch.

What I'm seeing/hearing is people getting hate or anon bullshit for their preferences (or becoming targeted). That shit isn't cool. I don't care who is involved in what or prefers what--sending hate or harassing or making someone feel less because of what they like is absolutely not okay.

yeah, i mean, i’m inclined to believe the majority of anons being dicks like that are antis (creating inner-group discourse in order to split fandoms you disapprove of is not an uncommon tactic - “hey ty you got your tin-hat on a little too snug there my dude”...yeah yeah, sure, but this ain’t my first rodeo i’ve seen it several times before). partly for that reason, and also literally everyone i talk to or see openly discussing this is saying the exact same thing, so if there are Harringrove shippers doing this, i haven’t personally witnessed it.

that being said, if there are actual Harringrove shippers engaging in that kind of behavior then i only have one thing to say to them - Unkindly, Fuck You. Being that bored isn’t an excuse to be an asshole.

and i’m sorry to anyone that’s happened to. fandom for me has always been a welcome escape from the hell that is real life, and I think we all deserve to have that escape be a pleasant one.

Steve is used to serving shitty, entitled customers all day. On bad days, Billy greets him at their crappy apartment (but it's their home) with a meal and later, surprises Steve with his uniform on. Steve has gotten a thing against the smell of ice cream (there is one, shut up), but Billy smells edible and Steve doesn't mind licking whipped cream off of him. (I hope you feel better ❤🧡💛💚💙💜)

ok yes listen. how come there’s not been artwork of billy wearing steve’s uniform?????? not to be rude, but where’s it at?????? like, billy loves steve in it. that’s a given, but steve catches billy eyeing the shirt?? thinks about billy in it but dismisses it because billy is so stubborn, and he’s truly gonna do what he wants until steve comes homes and is thoroughly surprised, hard af seeing that navy blue stretched around billy’s thighs, his arms. like, billy’s color is blue, and goddamn is steve thankful for the one good thing that’s come out of his shitty job!!!!
