I´m not here (2019)
The movie is basically a life flashing in front of Steve´s (Sebastian Stan, Iain Armitage, J.K.Simmons) eyes. Doesn´t really tell much of a story but targets your emotions. It´s one of those movies I love but I can´t watch again because I can´t see through my tears. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it enjoyable? Yes! All actors provide believable and emotional performances. Interestingly, J.K. Simmons has no replicas in this movie yet deliveres spectaculary with his body language and eyes full of emotions. Sebastian is as always playing a character torn between wanting having normal life and struggling with his past and addiction. His scenes with young boy are heart warming and uplifting. Maika Monroe who plays Steve´s wife Karen is the weakest of the cast, but still is very enjoyable and fits perfectly into the picture. 9 stars of 10, definitely would reccomend. Warning: Bring a lot of tissues!
