imogen thinks of everyone she worries about at all times basically and mainly her thoughts as of late are like honestly why are either of us pretending we can sleep when we could be eating ice cream so ofc she gets out of bed and just kinda goes into baby's room and is like "either we're eatin' ice cream or i'm gonna lie here with ya because this is bullshit"
It was the first thing he'd said to her all day, instead opting for silence as they all went through the motions in their black clothing. He hadn't said a word, seeming to just take it all in, let the grief turn him black and blue. And all she could do was stand helplessly at his side and hold his hand.
So Imogen was surprised when he spoke. She was also completely heartbroken by the question. They were too young for this, too young to be dealing with parents who screamed and hit, and parents who died.
Her best friend was orphaned and there was nothing she could do.
She wanted to say something, anything. She could assure him that she would never leave, that no matter what she'd be his best friend. She could tell him no matter what he'd still have his brothers.
There were a lot of things she could say but none of it would matter because his parents would still be dead.
So instead she held his hand a little tighter and pulled his head gently to rest on her shoulder, feeling the weight of his grief and the feel of his anguish in their interlocked fingers.

Imogen tried not to laugh at the way he averted his eyes, clearly uncomfortable with her outfit of choice for the dance at the middle school. The changes in her body had seemingly happened overnight, and every guy in school had noticed, Scott being no exception. She didn't mean to tease him, but if he kept making it so funny, it was hard to resist.
"Every girl's gonna have a dress on, Scotty. Ain't my fault I can fill it out a little better." Ego remarkably developed for an eighth grader, she stepped closer to her best friend, hooking her finger under his chin to make him look at her instead of at the floor.
"C'mon, you promised you'd come with me. I can't handle the rich kids alone. Now you're gonna keep your promise and come with me, and we're gonna dance, and it's gonna be fine."

sleep: imogen is pretty nocturnal and likes to sleep in. she also really likes naps. her favorite thing ever basically is to go for a run, shower, then sleep for like three hours.
sad: imogen never lets on that she's sad but she can get pretty emotional when she finally opens up like. it'll take some prodding bc when she's sad she just blocks everything out.
happy: a happy imogen makes for a happy environment 'cause when she's pissed/sad it can be very affecting on the people around her. when she's in a really good mood she'll usually cook.
angry/violent: basically she'll cut you omf. no but everyone assumes she's so violent but she's?? not??
sex: imogen doesn't think sex itself means anything, just sex with certain people. she also just rly likes sex and isn't ashamed of wanting to have it.
bedroom/house/living quarters: she's homeless katelyn excuse the fuck outta U. no but. her apartment with baby makes me so happy i picture it like this big studio apartment and it's just well decorated even though it's kinda shitty and just wah.
romantic: she doesn't usually do relationships but this girl is loyal to the end if she does get in one. like almost to a fault if her relationship with strad is any indication.
family: COLES 5EVER also the greasers omf this bitch will die for you basically
friendship: her friendship with baby is actually probably the only thing she thinks she hasn't screwed up how nice
quirks/hobbies: she likes to watch a lot of girl code. also she reads more than people would assume aw cutie.
likes/dislikes: she really dislikes girls who put other girls down. that pisses her off to no end. so obvs she likes ladies stickin up for ladies she's basically a spice girl goin around saying girl power.
childhood: it sucked but she's grateful for it in a way bc she feels like it prepared her for the real world and she's stronger because of it.
old age/aging: IMOGEN WILL BE IN SO MUCH DENIAL AS SHE GETS OLDER LIKE "fuck off scott it's not a grey hair"
cooking/food: she's an excellent cook. and she does cook a lot for her boys. she'll eat basically anything but she can get kinda weird about calorie counting sometimes.
appearance: omg idk she's hot and she knows it
random: she became friends with scott by giving him a boner laughs
