Close. They were so close that Imogen could feel Landon's breathe against her lips. Unable to take her eyes off his face. All this because she asked for advice on how to word something for her book. All this because he'd caught her staring. This could ruin everything. If Imogen moved just a hair closer they'd be kissing, and damn that could one hundred percent ruin this. They were roommates. They got along great. Living with Landon was easy. But crossing this line could have terrible consequences. 'Screw it-' She murmured softly before reaching for him, tossing arms around his neck to pull him to her and close the tiny space between them. Press her lips to his for the first time.

'Hmm?' Caught red handed. Staring at him again, completely lost in thought over- him. It's always him lately but Imogen would never compromise this. She and Landon have a good thing going here. Roommates, friends. Friends. Guys and girls could be just friends, and yet the blonde had been nursing this stupid crush on him for the last few months. Not to mention this isn't the first time he'd caught her staring just a little too long. 'Nothing just---zoned out on this chapter, sorry. Getting stuck on some dialogue, trying to play it out in my head, you know?' She glossed over it easily enough, nervously tucking hair behind her ear before brown hues dip back to her laptop.

'Landon?' Imogen spoke softly as she tried her best to ease his bedroom door open. not wanting to startle him but wake him none the less. Slipping into his bedroom, something the blonde had done many times before felt different this time. 'I um-- I had a really bad dream...can I stay with you?' The blonde is sheepish with her request, arms crossed and running along them for comfort. 'Just until I settle down a bit?' She quickly added. She was thoroughly spooked, that was obvious. 'I just don't want to be alone.'

Imogen doesn't know the last time she's seen him like this. Or even if she's seen him this upset over his job ever really. Usually she was the one throwing some sort of tantrum over writers block. Or complaining that she was a fraud and didn't know how she made it this far because really who the heck would want to read this crap?! But this is something else entirely. The blonde wrote romantic fiction for a living. He wrote about real life things. Life and death and this hadn't gone well for him. 'Hey now, come on,' She cooed, scooching closer to him on their shared couch. She didn't like hearing him talk like that. 'You are worth something Landon. don't ever say you aren't.' It's rare for her to talk so deeply. She's scatter brained at best. Typical blonde most would say but it didn't mean she wasn't smart, or empathetic. 'Sometimes things fail, and I'm sorry that it failed like this. But that doesn't mean it's your fault.' Imogen reached out and took his hand in hers. 'You've helped so many people over the years. 'Landon,' The blonde instantly caves at his plea, whining his name because that please is just too much. She's known Landon long enough now that when he says he wants something, he means it. He's not a flake. He won't go weird on her, she knows that deep down but she can't help but still have that kernel of worry nipping at the back of her mind, but she nods her head. Consenting, relenting because the worry is no match for her current state. Not when he's pressing her back against the couch, lips touching where ever he can against her skin making her wriggle beneath him. She's smoldering from it all. Gasping softly as fingers are suddenly in a place she's only dreamed of. Perhaps a little too much, maybe this is still a dream and if that was the case Imogen doesn't want to wake up. Hips rising to meet his touch. Imogen wants him all over her too. The line was crossed now and there's no going back. Reaching out to Imogen grabbed his face in her hands, bringing him back to her mouth to kiss the breath out of him. 'You've made your point,' She breathed against his lips, teasing him. 'I'm yours.
