It was midday, the sky bright and shining with not one cloud in sight. It was a day where you’d think nothing bad could ever happen. With a certain blonde, it only made her more chipper than she already was. She was a positive person by nature, but the atmosphere certainly helped a lot, too. With everything that she did, she got wholly and completely consumed. This was why when her pocket vibrated with the familiar ringtone that she had received a new text, she broke her gaze staring at the sky and instead shifted it to her phone, taking it out of her pocket and seeing who had messaged her. Replying and walking at the same time meant she didn’t particularly notice when the bustling street turned into a narrow alley – she had completely missed the turn she was supposed to take, and only took account of where she was when she pressed S E N D. Muddled for a moment, she turned her head around to analyze her surroundings. A look of disgust etched her features ( mostly because of the stench that was coming from the multiple garbage bins ), she didn’t look long before she turned on her heels and starting walking back the way she came from. The only thing was, she had already been seen by a passerby who just so happened to notice her new handbag and expensive-looking clothes – the perfect target. He had just come out of what seemed to be a fairly sketchy bar, the odor of scotch surrounding him. The pungent smell resulted in her stopping in her tracks once again, not sensing the trouble she was about to get herself into. Immediately she saw him and backed up, but it was too late – her arm was grabbed with force so she couldn’t get away, the handbag with everything in it being the drunken man’s jackpot. “Get away from me!” She screamed, the surprise of the situation taking her aback – she didn’t do well with unpredictability. However, the grip he had on her arm was too strong; it felt like each bone was cracking beneath his lengthy fingertips. Her life was relatively ordinary, so she had never been in a situation remotely like this before, meaning she wasn’t entirely sure how to react, but she didn’t have any time to think about it, either. So instead of trying to think about it and getting her bag with her wallet and phone in it stolen, she took action and tried hitting him with her free arm and hollering in hopes that someone nearby would hear.
