What is the basic premise of Warframe? I have absolutely no clue what it is (besides a video game).
i was going to say i can't explain without spoiling the story but then realized if you had all the facts before you, you would still not understand a single thing to be spoiled about for the nature of warframe is elusive and all-encompassing and must be experienced like the liminal piece of fiction it is
what i will say is that mechanically, it's a shooter where you parkour around and loot everything you can find and triple jump your way to objectives; narratively, you wake up after a very long time inside a mechanical sort of space suit to find yourself being chased by a bunch of turtle-shaped enemies through a forested area with a female voice in your ear guiding you, at which point and if you keep playing the story, you'll realize this is absolutely not even the deepest lore point. as a matter of fact, by the time you've caught up with the story, this won't even be a lore point
very good story, very good characters, very good shooty slicey jumpy looty action, one of the warmest and most welcoming communities i've had the pleasure of coming across. not understanding what's going on until the literal last second is a charm point
