So like, hypothetically, if I write a Diablo x Imperius series where Diablo kinda falls in lust with Imperius and becomes an annoying little shit (in the eyes of his brothers, to everyone else he is being the worst thing to ever disgrace Imperius’ presence (i.e. WRATH)) just so he can bed him. Only to fall over and somehow gain positive feelings about him.
(I’m not saying love (yet), just “I wanna bed that guy to watch him preen and praise me” kind of feelings)
Then what if, when Imperius falls to Wrath and loses control of himself and kills Itherael, Diablo stalls him in their personal Eternal Conflict. Not because he is preventing Imperius from killing any other angels, but to ensure that all of his attention, all of his time, and all of his Wrath is on Diablo and Diablo alone.
Then what if, while Imperius is lost in the haze of Wrath, he says things he would’ve never admitted with a sound mind. Things he would’ve never said as Valour for he was scared to be honest. The Wrath, the unknowing fuel and armour of his Valour, is released. And with it all of Imperius’ inner thoughts and fears.
And amongst them, Imperius’ codependency on Diablo’s presence; the source of his entire identity. The Terror to the Valour.
Well, it might be enough to make a Prime Evil blush.
