I’m a big fan of ships that exist not because of actual interactions but rather because of narrative/theoretical reasons (scott/bigb that’s been popping up cuz creaking, grityn because of watcher lore and even 3L, snowbugs because of jimmy, lizzie/etho because of joel, impishbeans/joelpulse because of the whole double life thing, and many more but I don’t want the list to get too long and obscure!)
I totally understand why people don’t like them (it is weird to see people obsessing over a ship where the two characters have probably talked once or something) but I think it’s great that we as a fandom have the brainpower to make up our own pairs and work out what sort of interactions they may have. Sure, not all of them are that deep, but it still shows how creative we are to mix and mash characters. It’s fun! We are playing with dolls
It’s also great when the characters do interact like yippee!! My ship that I liked before they started talking!! Sometimes these ships do interact a lot but the ship itself is based on the theoreticals lol.
Idk I think it’s fun! I get why people don’t like it but I think it’s great that we don’t just follow what canon feeds us and make our own ships.
