Okay! Good afternoon, day, night (middle of the night for me) from wherever you are.

my mind won’t let me sleep because of my strange delusion of a new hermit craft ship. I haven’t seen this anywhere and if someone knows where to look please tell me and show me my people!

Hear me out: Smalldubs/Smallethubs

I haven't really been one to enjoy Ethubs, but that's mainly because I don't watch them interact as often. From what I've seen from Hermitcraft, Life series, and the fandom, they seem really sweet. And after watching the petty rivalry between Bdubs and Joel and how some people were interpreting it as them fighting over Etho, for some reason, it all just seems homosexual to me. Can we forget the fighting and all just kiss?! That is all my brain can think about lately.

Don't even get me started on Joel's latest Hermitcraft video where Bdubs just calls Joel over to talk about his newest build and they nerd out over buildy things. This is literally them realizing that:

'Hey, you're not actually that bad.' 'Neither are you I guess.'

Like Bdubs just wanted an excuse to see Joel again, and we all know a lot of Joel's flirting techniques are just being really annoying.

(The classic 'he picks on you because he likes you.' (Even though that term sucks))

It's his love language. Also, not to mention that Smalldubs is really ironic and funny. At the end of the day, they're all obsessed with each other.

I can imagine Etho watching them argue and be all like:

'Guys! Please don't fight! This is getting out of hand!'

and Joel and Bdubs looking at each other with their hands at each other's necks and having this moment of realization where they don't need Etho and realize that they belonged together the whole time. They might move past Etho but still hold him in high regard for being the person who helped them find each other. Two angry short men thinking they're obsessed with the wrong person.

I think the Boat Boys and Ethubs enjoyers should all just stop fighting and kiss, all we really are at the end of the day are just people who want block people to kiss."

my dream life series team up is Bdubs and Joel

they have a horse, and Joel hates it so much that he kills everyone else’s horses but doesn’t kill Bdubs’s horse bc they’re teammates

they don’t make it to the end bc they’re constantly just running into danger bc the other is just enabling that behavior

a side effect of this team up is that people start to like shortgrass (and doublebeans/smalldubs/ whatever their ship name is) and we (read: I) have an actually decent amount of Bdubs and Joel fics that don’t include Etho (love Etho but I’m here for that Bdubs Joel content yk)
