The Veilguard potraits
sketchlog 1, practicing different shapes and angles
do most people on Thedas even know wtf their blood type is
neve would find this cute, in retrospect. she'd tell lucanis about it with a shit-eating grin and watch him stammer for 2 to 5 solid seconds before thanking her for coming to rook's rescue and excusing himself
Lucanis, holding his newborn child: *weeping with joy, overcome with love*
All the Antivan Crows, coming to pay the First Talon's first born their respects: I would like to see/hold the baby.
Lucanis, eyes violet, sprouting ethereal wings: 😈
All the Antivan Crows: But I won't.
Do you think the Mediation Chamber, aka the resting place of our dear Rook, makes Lucanis think of the Ossuary— you know, the underwater prison? Or does it only become a secondary prison when the owner is locked in their own?
Did looking at the aquarium only reminded Lucanis of their savior more than the torture?
Does the room only start to hurt when Rook is stolen away or was that the final straw?
Or did Rook not even like the room, the more and more they got close to Lucanis?
Rook was taking the stairs down to the library when they saw him coming through the doors.
"Lucanis," they greeted, thinking they were probably smiling too much.
"Rook," he said, voice rasping on their name, head swivelling up to track their movements. His waistcoat had come mostly untucked and his hair was less neat on one side than it usually was.
"You're, um," Rook paused, "Looking a little wild around the edges. How much coffee have you had to drink?"
Maybe Varric was right about the intervention.
Lucanis scowled, his face more expressive than he usually allowed it to be. "Not enough," he said, before letting the expression fall away, replaced in a moment by something victorious and viciously happy. "We should talk. Finally."
Rook let their feet carry them down the stairs to Lucanis, who looked back over his shoulder to the courtyard and let the door fall shut. Rook licked their lips, wary of the nervous energy that had come over the assassin and unable to step back. Whatever else Rook was, they always felt drawn to Lucanis like a moth to a torch.
Taash called down to them from above. "Rook, that's the demon again."
"Yeah, Taash, I'm getting that." Rook said, thinking about how much Lucanis hated it when people saw him in a state that was anything less than perfectly put together. "Why don't you head down to the Eluvian room and I'll handle things here."
Inspired by @emmavakarian-theirin's Lucaniswap gifset. What if Spite didn't have obviously glowy eyes?
