next
LEE: Yeah I think so ... I’m a X-Men, that’s so cool !
CHEST: Ahahaha, if you say so !
LEE: So that also means that you have no real powers?
CHEST: I ... Well, like most of witches and wizard I have to use spells and other things in order to use magic indeed, but don’t think magic is accessible to everyone ... It’s a loooooot of work
LEE: I’ve already seen that ... But, you know what’s funny ?
CHEST: Tell me .
LEE: I’ve always been affraid of the fire ... Especially since the accident ...
CHEST: Oh right, Soraya told me about it ... I forgot you were in the car with your parents ...
LEE: Do you think this could be the accident that gave me my powers?
CHEST: You’re the first Elemental I met so I couldn’t confirmed but it could be ... You told me you didn’t know until you got attacked by this vampire so that could have been a trigger for your power. Your body must have felt the danger and reacted that way ...
LEE: Certainly ... I’m so happy I can control it ! Thanks to you ! You’re a great teacher Chest’! And a great brother-in-law ...

Chapter Eighty-five
"We haven't mentioned or brought up the whole job fiasco for days, you know?"
Lying in bed together Sydney had her head on Bucky's chest and his flesh arm was holding her close when he spoke up, "I know. I didn't want to push so I thought I'd let you drive that conversation in your own time."
He smiled as she snuggled even tighter against his body feeling just how much she understood and respected his boundaries, "thanks. I appreciate it."
"No problem, babe. Do you want to talk about it now?" she asked through a yawn.
"That depends, doll. Are you gonna fall asleep on me?" he asked with a hint of laughter.
"Not in the next five minutes I'm not."
Sydney shifted propping herself up onto her forearm and she looked at Bucky, "so do you want to try again at the docks? Or maybe something else?"
Chewing on the inside of his cheek, he stared into her green eyes trying not to feel like an utter failure, "maybe another time."
"Are you sure? What about helping out here in my building? I'm sure there's a little old lady that needs something fixed."
He smiled amusement dancing in his blue eyes, "you do realize I'm most likely older than every one of these little old ladies that you speak of?"
Laying back down next to Bucky, she rested her head on his chest and draped her arm across his stomach.
"I admit I sometimes forget how old you actually are. Sorry."
"It's alright, doll. I think I'll pass on the handyman idea, though."
"No problem." Sydney yawned again and Bucky shook his head, "let's go to sleep. We both could use it."
Sitting down for breakfast on Sunday, the subject of Bucky potentially finding a job hadn't come up again until Sydney looked at Bucky staring down at his plate tapping his thumb on his coffee mug's handle, "are you trying to burn a hole in that plate?"
He smiled and turned to look at her, "No. Sorry."
"Are you still thinking about the whole not being employed thing?"
Bucky shook his head leaning away from his food, "no. That isn't what's on my mind, doll. It's something I remembered before we met up again."
"Really? Is it something bad?"
"I don't know. I can't really make sense of it."
Sydney reached over taking his hand, "can I help?"
"Well, you're a pretty good listener."
"I'd like to think so." She replied with a slightly smug nod, "tell me what you've remembered and maybe together we can figure it out."
Bucky nodded and turned his whole body around so he was facing Sydney directly. He took a deep breath letting the memory float to the surface and exhaled.
"I'm in a room somewhere and there are machines I'm hooked up to; so I'm either post mission or about to sent out on one. It's hard to remember."
She gave his hand a reassuring squeeze, "you're doing great."
"Thanks, doll" he gave her a smile and squeezed her hand in return.
"Can you tell me were you alone?"
He shook his head, "no. A woman entered the room while I was in there."
"I don't know why but I never really pictured women being an active part of Hydra." Sydney said offhandedly.
"What's interesting is this woman surprised that I was there."
"Well, if you think about it the knowledge of your existence was probably compartmentalized within Hydra. So, maybe she didn't know about you and that's why she was surprised."
"Yeah, that does make sense."
"Anything else that you remember of note? What she looked like maybe?"
He ran a hand through his hair and nodded, "she was around your height. She had dark hair but it was cut short."
"So, she could have been anybody?"
"Yeah. The one thing that was a little unique was this pin she had attached to her blouse."
"What was so unique about it?"
"Well, it looked like an Easter egg that had been painted by a child."
Sydney shifted on her stool as she felt her heart suddenly beat faster. It couldn't possibly be what she was thinking, could it? She swallowed hard, "what makes you say that?"
Bucky shrugged, "it was oval shaped like an egg and the colors were very odd."
"What colors?" she asked in a whisper bracing for his answer.
"Green, purple, and black. Why? Is that important?"
Her heart plummeted in her chest as she stumbled off the stool and rushed down the hall hoping like hell this was all a coincidence and Bucky calling her name concerned and bewildered at her behavior.
Reaching onto the shelf in the closet she retrieved a tattered show box held together with tape dumping its contents onto the bed. Bucky appeared in the doorway and watched her wildly searching the items, "doll?"
She stopped as her gaze fell on a photograph. Picking it up she turned to him and showed it to him. In the photograph was a mother, a father, and a child that couldn't have been more than three or four years old and they were all smiling.
"Is this her?" Sydney asked her eyes welling up and fear practically radiating off her.
He approached her and took the photo studying the woman's face. He looked up at Sydney after a few minutes and nodded, "who is she?"
"That's my mom."
Sydney replied feeling like all the air had been sucked out of her, "my mom was Hydra. I can't-I need to get out of here. I'm sorry."
Sydney hurried past Bucky back down the hallway her head buzzing and her chest feeling like it couldn't take in any breath as she exited the apartment leaving Bucky alone with the photo still in his hand and confusion surrounding him.
PreReview Blurb: Episode 43. It's suppose to be an important episode in both lists. I want to keep these things spoiler free.
About the Case: I've seen the anime episode before, and remember it well. Right from the arrival of "Conan's Mother" I knew what this was about. When you already know what's coming, it's hard not to laugh.
It was a good case that leaves newcomers and first readers and viewers worried for Conan with a great twist at the end.
Relevance to the Plot: Very Important. relevant plot, and character introduction.
The last case I read was just barely important, It was on the fine line of becoming filler with the only relevant thing about it being the introduction of Sonoko Suzuki.
This case however not only introduces Shinichi's parents, but we are brought into a story about the danger Conan could be facing regarding the Black Organization.
We also learn that as smart as Shinichi/Conan is, his father is still on a higher level. He thinks faster, and is much more clever.
Pre Review Blurb: Anime Episode 3. It was recommended by Xerbladex's episode list, but not by the manga list. So time to see if it really is relevant to the plot.
About the Case: The circumstances surrounding the death isn't farfetched or unbelievable. But I didn't like the motivation behind it, and I felt little to no sympathy for the victim.
Relevance to the Plot: Kinda want to skip it but can't. More character development and introduction of the voice changer bow tie. Too important to skip.
So the chapter list got it wrong. Xerbladex's list is right.
