Swerve ain’t letting anyone move in on his Carrier/Mom

Swerves biggest pet peeve nowadays? When people hit on or simp for his carrier. Even his own sire, AKA Impactor.

So when the wreckers (Blurr is there and Swerve avoids that mess entirely) board the lost light for a bit, and Impactor tries to get cushy with Megatron after a bit (they have to talk first) and starts flirting with the former warlord? Swerve is behind him ready to spike-block that mf every chance he gets. Impactor corners Megatron when he’s leaving the bridge? Swerve suddenly pops up behind him to ask Megatron if he wants to come try the new drink hes made because he really wants to spend time with his carrier. Megatron chilling at Swerves and Impactor offers him a drink? The bars namesake comes and ‘accidentally’ spills his tray of drinks on Meg’s so he has to go shower off, not without a promise of free drinks and snacks next time.

Swerve will do anything to blue-ball his sire, who he does low-key have a grudge against. Even gets whirl in on it for the lols and free drinks.

For the Co-Parent au, I present angst.

This is about Impactor and the situation with Springer/Ostaros (sort of) and how it pertains to Swerve. The fact that Impactor knows he wouldn’t be a good caretaker for Springer is a reflection of how he helped raise Swerve. Which wasn’t a lot, he didn’t know how to be a parent and often left the serious parenting and mushy stuff to Megatron (believe it or not). So it lead to him being a sort of emotionally neglectful parent to Swerve, one who didn’t think before he acted, such as when he got into the fights because he thought violence or aggression was the only way to deal with most problems. Megatrons more idealistic and non-violent beliefs in the past lead to him being more grounding and caring in a way that Impactor couldn’t be. In the au, Impactor and Megatron often got into fights about Swerve, specifically Impactors lack of empathy for Megatron and what he does for Swerve but also how Impactor has failed as a caretaker when they both promised Invar and Verge to look after him. Swerve actually has quite a bit of insecurities that Imapctor loved him and wanted to be his parent, feeling like an obligation to the miner than a child. Impactor knows he isn’t a good caretaker because he’s failed in the past with the child he swore to care for and ended up failing and leaving him in the clutches of the fucking Decepticon leader.

Impactor left Sweeve and Megatron before the war started, partly because of the instigation and plans of the revolutionary movement getting more heated. But also the fact that Impactor genuinely, for a rare moment of self-reflection, thought Swerve and Megatron would do better off without him to cause problems and make them feel like shit. His lack of being able to communicate and express himself has pushed his family away and now he thinks the only way to fix it is to leave.

The sex life (and romance?) of Megatron and Impactor before the war (Co-parent au)!! ❤️☺️❤️

I like to think that yes, two giant mechs who are miners can handle some rough and tough fragging. But I also like to think that they genuinely had a deep attachment to one another that would really one come to its peak when they interfaced.

For instance: (warning sort of nsfw) While Impactor is roughly shoving into Megatrons valve as the soon-to-be warlord can’t help but only cling to him while his partners spike slams into his ceiling node. The type of sex where they face each other and cling to one another as they get lost in the heat of the moment, servos interlocking as they look deeply into each others optics. Just a deep unadulterated moment of love and affection, that the two never talk about after the fact.

The two love each other, but in their own way that may leave something missing for the other emotionally as they fail to say what they need to. They try to both please each other in ways that they think will be good for their partner, but fails to acknowledge their own needs in those situations. Pushing their limits and boundaries to points of uncomfortable because they don’t want to disappoint or drive away the other.

Their love, while deep, is fragile due to their circumstances. And that love still lasts after these millions of years, even if they take different partners there is never a new love interest for them. They’re to involved and reminiscent of what they had and could have again, especially now that the war is over. It’s a teetering line between romance and heartbreak since they’ve changed so much over the course of the war and they can’t expect to just pick up where they left off. Swerve emulates their way of dealing with relationships quite often, keeping his own feelings and needs silent in favor of his partners, which leads to him not getting his needs met and leaving him feeling empty as his needs are pushed to the wayside.
