A Weekend with the Civics Team
This past weekend I had the privilege of spending my time in Ashford, Kent with the Civics Team volunteering and coming up with ways to get the NYU London community more involved with service. We planned events to raise money for Red Nose Day and brainstormed ways to effectively run volunteering events. We also spent four hours in the freezing rain cutting down trees (yes, I can honestly say that I, Pilar Mendez, actually sawed down trees). All-in-all, it was a very productive weekend filled with what I love participating in most:service.
