hmm...they destroyed earth a little bit to save it, you know. they paved the sahara desert with black panels effectively fucking africa's ecosystem and causing terribly irregular weather patterns in europe. they bombed antarctica. sometimes you have to cut a limb off to save the rest of the body.
they destroyed eva stratt a little bit too, but it wasn't to save her. or, sorry; it wasn't to save her.
do you thing she thought of it like that. like gangrene. she cut off her limb to save the rest of her body. except it wasn't her that sending Ryland Grace to die in space saved. it was the earth. do you think Eva Stratt ever lay in the grass of a dying planet waiting for news of salvation to come from light years away pretending that if she lays there long enough, she'll sink into the earth and become one with it because then she can't justify his death as something done for the greater good and she can truly feel the guilt and agony of the crime, the guilt and agony that she'd spared herself when she did it. do you think she does. hmmmmm
just so you know. will vote was there.
SALMAC is a Great Marquise of Hell with 50 legions of demons under his command. He builds high towers, strong fortresses and sprawling cities, provides his students with good familiars, and afflicts infection upon the wounds of his enemies.
I think this is the first time I've really and truly finished a picture of Salmac since Inkt○ber of 2019 and I'm super happy with it. His design is entirely unchanged from when he first manifested fully-formed in my novel back in 2017, but this is the first time I've actually drawn him properly—I don't usually draw his tailcoat, the oilslick pattern you can see in the highlights in his clothes and hair is always difficult to portray correctly, and it's a lot of extra work to get the gold in his eyes in a way that doesn't look overly obtrusive.
Contrary to the mythology and the framing of this piece, he's a good guy. (You're gonna have to trust me on this.)
Old doodle from my fic~
I’m not finishing this one either. but they are special to me LOL
every time Oda retells Rodgers last moments the crocomom theory continues to gain traction and im so ready for it to be proven right.
that would be the funniest way to piss off so many people, and im gonna pop champagne if it's ever confirmed just for the ha ha
