Listen, do you have any idea how beautiful mobrei is? You have two characters who have mutual development outside and inside from each other’s circles. They gave the best version of each other to the other and vice versa. They have mutual trust. Mutual care. Mutual love. Do you have any idea how many ways that this relationship can turn into? I can name several or more but these are the ones that came into my mind first:

Pining! Mob who falls in love with Reigen after been rejected by Tsubomi, trying to understand his feelings and thoughts towards his shishou. (cue innocent, shy glances/blushes or confident moves in confessing his love)

Pining! Reigen seeing Mob as an adult after he grew up/matured and feeling lonely(canon) when they have to part ways due to Mob continuing his studies in university in another city. Reigen collecting his thoughts and denying his feelings so he could protect both his and Mob’s relationship. In order not to cross that line between platonic and romantic love.

Reigen and Mob naturally becoming a couple after been together for so many years and been ready to get to the next step.

Mob being a patient person and waits for Reigen to return his feelings, knowing that Reigen is keeping distance from him because he also feels the same way but refused to acknowledge it.

Jealous! Reigen when he sees Mob hanging out with his female friends casually and feeling left out, although he knows that Mob loves him. (takes place after Mob confessed his feelings towards him) This will lead him to blurt his feelings and been sarcastic about how Mob has grew up and probably don’t need him around anymore (insecurities)

Mob and Reigen agreeing in keeping their relationship innocent with rules established between them until Mob becomes a legal adult (holding hands, short kisses and keeping each other hands off of each other are one of the rules made by Reigen because Mob is very eager to learn more, very enthusiastic)

Clingy Reigen. Need I say more?

Comedic moments where everything Reigen does is endearing in Mob’s eyes. Even the hand gestures *laughs* Cue people side-eyeing Mob like :/

Angst. Lots of angst. From Reigen denying his feelings to them wanting to get permission from Mob’s parents to accept their relationship, knowing that it’s still unacceptable in Japan.

There should be more but these are the ones I have in mind currently. Feel free to add more ^^
