allure: the sense of an object’s existence apart from, and over and above, its own qualities
Do you use mobility equipment and struggle to get around in public places? Do you get really upset when disabled people are given limited access to public places? Do you live in Pennsylvania? Do you know someone who lives in Pennsylvania?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, I encourage you to watch this video I made about the inaccessibility in the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building.
In October, my class (50 people in the 11th and 12th grade) went to the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building in Harrisburg. I am the only physically disabled student there, as I am in most situations, and knew I would be left out and isolated frequently. A counselor at school encouraged me to film my experience and publish it to spread awareness and perhaps make a change. So why not give it a watch and share it on your favorite social media platform and/or send it to someone you know in Pennsylvania? Thanks for any support!
