HEY GUESS WHAT!

the bakugou fic is real this time. chapter 1 will be up on AO3 on saturday. as of right now, my plan is to post every other week. this fic has changed so much in the time i’ve been working on it (a year and three months) but it’s finally shaping into the story it needs to be. i should have guessed sooner that all it wanted was to tell itself. well, okay—that’s what i’m letting it do.

i have no idea how long this story is going to be. it may end up being one work, it may end up being two, it may end up being three. so many pieces are at play here, you guys genuinely have no idea. so much is going on behind the scenes. i have over 200 pages of notes/outlines, okay? nobody knows yet what it’s going to look like, but i promise it’ll be worth the wait. i promise it’ll be good.

thank you all for the patience and kindness you’ve had and extended to me during this very long break. i am so overjoyed i can finally share this with you. to my new followers and to those of you who’ve been here from the beginning, i love you. i’m so grateful for all your support.

(and if you haven’t read Spark Plug already, do that! this fic does take place in the same (ish) universe, so… 😉)

A long and convoluted Bakugou-centric angst fic nearly a year in the making. Featuring Aizawa and Yamada in their parental roles as well as a slow-burn relationship between Bakugou, Kirishima, and Midoriya. The first part of what will inevitably be a long series of angst and love. Remember: no matter how badly it hurts, it will turn out in the end. Tags will be added/altered as needed. incipient update

the dreaded post i have to make… i’ve been putting it off because i want to be wrong but ultimately uh. warning must be given

i do not know if i’ll be able to post chapter 6 on time :/ things have been super busy these past couple weeks and i have also had to rewrite it like five times to get the right flow, so i am not sure i’ll have it finished and ready by saturday 💔

i’ll continue updating on here as i get things written and edited, but right now the chapter (much to my dismay) isn’t even finished. we’re at uhh 1.5k words? i think? and there’s a little bit more i want to add before i can move on to chapter 7. so please bear with me, i promise i’ll get it posted ASAP!

(i am also starting work tomorrow so that has its pros and cons—i will be busier, but it will also give me structure/routine so i might also be more productive when it is time to write. still a bit up in the air, just be patient with me 🧡)
