i didnt have any octopus photos on hand, so i went ahead and drew two myself... hopefully they're recognizable enough to be identified! happy world octopus day!

Reasoning: I’d recognize that little guy anywhere. Not sure if the right octopus is E. dofleini (because the skin texture looks quite rippled and I don’t see an ocellus) or O. cyanea (star pattern around the eye, little spot on the mantle)

thank you for your appreciation of the original ella enchanted! I loved that book so much when I was younger and I always get excited when people reference it, but they always respond, "wait, there was a book?" because they're actually talking about the movie...

RIP to this incredible book that will probably never be correctly adapted because that Anne Hathaway nightmare rode Shrek's coattails to become Millennial Nostalgia Fodder.
