well, Noctowl and Chatot share an egg group so they could at least be half-brothers according to pokémon logic

One of my favourite books. Hit me so hard. Can’t believe some people read it and don’t see the obvious metaphor for an illness

I read it and was like “do i...just hand this story to people now when i can’t explain my depression or...” like after reading it was looked into what scholars said about it and i was blown away when i didn’t see more people talking about illness. I had a moment of “am i not understanding” and had to like stop myself from having men with titles change my mind because it’s wow, that story really meant something to me. The isolation and fatigue of being ill and feeling like a burden and watching your family go on living around you while also avoiding you because they no longer recognize you and they’re afraid to look at what you’ve become!! IT’S JUST SO !!!! EVERYTHING!

Actually, very many Swedish movies end that way. “Slut” means “(the) end” in Swedish. So quite a few foreigners have had fun with stuff like “end station” being “slutstation” etc. For a reverse situation, “kiss” means “pee” in Swedish.

That’s right! I’ve also heard that speed is “fart”. Language can be so much fun!

which reminds me - the english (though again originally french/latin/whatever) word ‘corps’ (like the GL corps) my mind always first want to pronounces as 'corpse’…
