I am so

inconsequent in what I declared that I will be doing, like, about this “story formed” structure of my blog or just that it’s a character and instead of all this, I couldn’t get rid off my fucking in any sentence I wrote. And I feel a little bit angry because being consequent is one of my main rules in this world, But, actually, my main point here was just to write, so maybe I shouldn’t be so strict about myself, idk.

Inconsequence.

When you open up your heart,

I can trace the fleeting,

Pin point your joys,

And griefs which run through your veins,

So inconsequential,

I could map your whole life out,

Because you let us in so easily.

We have thirty-two NYRB Classics titles between us, which is somehow fewer than I'd expected.

She can sleep through much scuffing of feet and pointing of desk lamps.

We didn't combine all of our books. We combined some, but when I began dumping mine on taller shelves and alphabetizing and reordering categories (Magazines; Fiction; Non-Fiction; Poetry; SF; Reference, both of foreseeable use and otherwise; Chapbooks; etc.) she had already dumped her books on a shelf or two in no real order. It felt like a presumption to take those and mix them into mine. Maybe she intended just that. I am closer to her, now, than maybe anyone, and simply asking things like that still feels impossible. The little domestic questions are somehow a bigger hurdle than the important ones. Open to a tortuous and small bafflement. So now our books are largely separate but for these, this rainbow of strange inconsequence . And if there is any reason to delight in the NYRB project this is surely it.
